In this episode, we talk about some more lighthearted things like celebrating the holidays. We had a very different thanksgiving and holiday experience. We talked about the different foods we ate as he had a “friendsgiving” in vermillion, while I had a huge family thanksgiving in Florida. We also dove into the differences within vermillion over Christmas break and how celebrating the holidays here can be a lot a different then going back to a city like Sioux Falls. Overall, this podcast is a good listen as we get into the different aspects and ways that people celebrate these national holidays.
CHRISTMAS PHOTO STORY
Below is the beautiful Christmas decorations placed around Vermillion. There are plenty of ways that vermillion likes to decorate for the holidays. Including the Giant Christmas tree, yummy cookies in the MUC, and a fun mistletoe on the Rhino.
SOCIAL MEDIA STORY INSTAGRAM STORY
This is a highlight reel going over my visit at the spot in downtown Vermillion known as Nostalgia. Nostalgia sells different cleansers with collagen and juices and teas. They also have a wide variety of vintage/thrift clothing for both girls and guys. The store definitely has an aesthetic atmosphere.

This is a work from home story showing a-day-in-the-life. I have lots of things that I do in one day so there was a lot to put together in this short video, but I enjoyed recording throughout the day. I had people also participate and help in scenarios requiring a couple of people. One thing I would change is my shakiness but that’s just something I’ll have to master in the future. I also am a big fan when it comes to tripods and there are even small ones for phones, I’m looking into getting for future videos. All-in-all, this was a fun story to record and edit.

Below you can listen to the second episode of thee podcast called Students N' Townies. Things are different in this episode as we now dive into health. Being from the university, it is extremely easy for me to get health benefits from Sanford hospital but someone like Payton doesn’t get this opportunity. I was sick recently and he had mono so we both dive into our experiences with that. We also go into depth on how it is so much easier for college towns to have a higher risk for things like the flu or any type of illness. This conversation also led to talking about COVID and how fast it spread on campus last year.

Below is my photo story dealing with the Parade. Every year, Coyotes and fans get together to have a big Parade over Dakota Days. Lots of people show up to this event including our own governor. The floats follow down main street for everyone to see downtown and people scream and holler out of the sake of the yotes. You can learn more about the parade or see more photos on my instagram or the link above will lead you to their event page.

We also go into events and things that happened this year that surprised us about Vermillion. I do this podcast with my buddy Payton. Red Report VOSOT
This is a clip from my red report for coyote news. Red Report is a fake newscast put on by the coyote news team. This was a lot of fun to make as I have a lot of friends in dakotathon and Greek Life. It was a fun experience to interview my friends and make fake scenario in my fraternity house. This was one my favorite projects.
Tanager Takeout PKG
The story here was aired on Coyote News. The story is about tanager takeout, which is a food pantry program made by Vermillion High School and Feeding South Dakota. I had the Privilege of interviewing and making a story bringing attention to an amazing program. It was a good experience to go into the program and get live B-roll while talking with them to find out more about the food pantry.
USD Women's Soccer vs. Oral Roberts VO and script that I produced.
NEWS QUIZ PART 2
People all over the world have been adopting or rescuing animals. In this pandemic, people have gotten lonely and need a furry friend to help deal with troubling times.
Students have been coming together this week for greek week. In the picture, I am working on a poster for spring rush to get more people showing up for rush. Rush is really important for a fraternity but this year there will be covid regulations and guidelines to follow.
WORK
This is just a selection of what I've been working on. I try to reach out to multiple different aspects in my major and field. These are what I enjoy and do the best at.
SOCIAL MEDIA WORK
I've done multiple projects and have had a job in social media marketing. I'm currently working for a company that promotes and recruits people for the company CUTCO. I've also worked my Fraternities instagram page and an online site ran by my old school's newspaper.
JOURNALISM WORK
I've been writing and creating my own stories since high school. I took school newspaper out of the little interest I had and fell in love with it. Ever since then I love the news industry and how media gets around and works. I'm very good at both reading and writing in AP style while also loving what I can create.
LIVE NEWS WORK
I've been doing Live Broadcasting News work for about 4 years now. I've always liked the idea of being on live television because of the pressure that is built behind it. It takes a lot of work and a good team to put together a stable newscast. I enjoy being part of those teams and below you can see Coyote News shows where I Technical directed, Directed, or worked with graphics or audio.
